Discover Scuba Diving

Time: 3 hours / 1 dive / 65 U$

In our PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course you start to learn about diving. One of Paul’s Diving’s experienced PADI Instructors conducts a brief orientation, followed by an underwater experience in confined water. Then, under the careful supervision of your Instructor, you will go for a dive in shallow, calm water on our house reef. The beauty and the magic of this pristine reef will amaze you.

Discover Scuba Diving allows you to dive in shallow water for the next 14 days with a Certified Dive Professional. If you are hooked after this first experience of diving you can continue and take the Open Water Diver course.

The cost of the Discover Scuba Diving will be credited to the Open Water Diver course.

 


 

Scuba Diver

Time: 2 days / 4 dives / 260 U$

This is the PADI entry-level certification course. In just 2 days you will learn how to assemble your own gear, gain knowledge about diving, practice exercises in confined water and experience your first dives to a maximum of 12m on our house reef.

You will receive a PADI certification card, which allows you to dive anywhere in the world in shallow water with a certified dive professional. The cost of the Scuba Diver course will be credited if you go on to do the Open Water Diver course.


 

Open Water Diver

Time: 4 to 5 days / 7 dives / 345 U$

This is the way the world learns to dive. Literally, by enrolling in the PADI Open Water Diver course you are following in the fin kicks of millions of others. This is the most popular diving course in the world. Paul’s Diving has the highest standards in diver education and safety.

We offer you 7 dives on the Open Water course, that’s between 6-7 hours diving! We include shore dives on the house reef and boat dives, around Apo for your experience. On completion you will be a certified diver able to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18m. With year round diving Apo Island is the perfect place to learn diving.


 

Advanced Open Water Diver

Time: 2 to 3 Days / 6 dives / 290 U$

The PADI Advanced Open Water course was made for Apo Island. Paul’s Diving has the perfect course for you. You obtain training and experience in 5 new areas of diving. The Deep and Navigation dives are mandatory, conducted on the house reef and wall respectively. Then you choose 3 elective dives from: night dive, drift dive, multilevel dive, search and recovery, underwater naturalist and underwater photography.

The sixth dive, special to Paul’s Diving, is extra to the normal PADI course requirements. This is a special dive where you a newly certified Advanced diver and a buddy, plan and dive your own dive, under the surface supervision of your instructor. As certified PADI Advanced Open Water diver you will be able to access dive sites previously out of reach to you. To become an Under Water Naturalist 1 extra dive / 90 U$

In the year 2000 PADI introduced ’ Adventure Dives ’, to meet the ever growing demand on your time. If time is not on your side to complete the full PADI Advanced Open Water course then Adventure Dives are for you. You may choose any of the Advanced course dives. With your Instructor you do the knowledge development and complete the respective dive. All Adventure Dives can be credited towards the Advanced Open Water certification.


 

Rescue Diver Course

Time: 3 to 4 Days / 6 Dives / 345 U$

Until now all your diving education has been about taking care of yourself. With the PADI Rescue Diver course you learn to take care of others. To do this properly you first have to be able to look after yourself.

Together with your Instructor you build up the necessary skills that allow you to become the complete diver. This is a challenging and most rewarding course. Many divers look back on this course as the one that they enjoyed the most. The course includes 6 open water dives.


 

Emergency First Response

Time: 1 Day 90 U$

Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.

Emergency First Response Secondary Care (first aid) covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice.


 

Adventure Dives

Time: 3 hours / 1 dive / 65 U$

In the year 2000 PADI introduced ’ Adventure Dives ’, to meet the ever growing demand on your time. If time is not on your side to complete the full PADI Advanced Open Water course then Adventure Dives are for you. You may choose any of the Advanced course dives.

Dive Master

Up to 8 weeks / unlimited dives

Diving takes on a new meaning with the PADI Dive master course. By undertaking the Dive master course you are on your way to becoming a dive professional. At Paul’s Diving School along with your PADI Instructor you will learn and master many new skills. Academic lessons take you deeper into diving, expanding your knowledge base up to that of a professional. Dive theory in is self does not make you a pro.

Waterman ship and diving skills are important when you are a professional; together we develop them to a professional level. Dive leadership and dive management skills are learnt and put into practice in the real world of our busy dive shop. We teach you how to organize dives and to become an expert guide. You will become part of our teaching team, assisting students with your Instructor on PADI courses.

At Paul’s Diving School we believe there is no substitute for real life experience. You will notice that we offer unlimited diving while you are in your internship. The longer you can spend with us on the Dive master course the better Dive master you will become. For candidates staying longer that 3 weeks we offer very good rates on our rooms.

To start a Dive Master course you must be a Rescue Diver, have at least 20 dives and be 18 years or older. Ready to move up the ladder? Then take your PADI Dive master course on Apo Island with Paul’s Diving School.


 

Underwater Naturalist Specialty Course

Time: 1-2 Days / 2 dives / 150 U$

Apo Island is a special place to take the Naturalist Course and David Lewis is the best quailified instructor to teach you. David has over 2000 hours logged diving around Apo and is only too happy to share a part of his impressive understanding of the islands ecology with you. Sign up to be an underwater Naturalist with David and be prepared to be amazed as to what really happens upon the reef.
